Bee our victim.. (Get it?!)
This week we decided to jump on the hype of last week's trailer release for the Candyman sequel/remake and review the 1992 Bernard Rose/Clive Barker classic starring horror icon Tony Todd.
The film revolves around the character of Helen Lyle who along with her best friend/colleague Bernadette Walsh are researching the urban legend of the Candyman who is known to haunt the now-defunct Cabrini-Green Projects in Chicago.
Shockingly progressive in some ways, while cringe-inducingly exploitative in others, this 90s horror classic proves that it is worth revisiting and ripe for a new take from a fresh perspective.
