Nothing says Jurassic Park sequel like potential Global food shortages, irreversible ecological changes, and the evil of capitalism. Colin Trevorrow returns to the director's chair for "The End of the Jurassic Era". The final film in this franchise combines plotlines from all 6 films and brings together the stars of both franchises to stop Billionaire and CEO of BioSyn (aka obviously Evil Corporation, Inc.) Lewis Dodgeson from using the technology that brought dinosaurs back to life to make himself more money. Oh yeah there's dinosaurs in this too. Join us as we talk about the final film in this tentpole franchise.

Jurassic World (2015)
Saturday Jun 11, 2022
Saturday Jun 11, 2022
In 2015, Colin Trevorrow was selected by Steven Spielberg to take us back to Jurassic Park. Following a gaggle of unmade movies including a bizarre Dino/Human mutant movie, the simplest way to bring us back into this world was finding out what a fully functioning park with Dinosaurs would look like. Similar to the original film, the genetic modification goes too far, and our main characters have to save parkgoers from the Indominus Rex, a T-Rex/Raptor monstrosity.

These plans are foiled by a demonic force that moves through the surrounding forest. Also the film debut of Bruce Campbell as Ash!

This week we go back to 2008 to check out a movie that we both know but have never actually seen with Let The Right One In. This Swedish horror film revolves around a romance between a 12 year old boy, and a new neighbor who happens to be a vampire. We also decided it was worth while to review the 2010 American remake from Matt Reeves at the same time.

This week we take a break from the regular format to talk more BATMAN. Since we are still on the post The Batman high we went ahead and ranked all Batman feature films in order. We included animated movies like Mask of the Phantasm and The Lego Batman Movie. Because Batman (1966) is based on the televisions series it has not been ranked. Hope you enjoy one last trip to Gotham City before we take a good Bat break.

The Batman (2022)

Monday Mar 07, 2022
You're everything they say, ain’t ya? We’re finally here. Ten years after the end of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, and several years after the disastrous DCEU we finally return to Gotham City to see the Matt Reeves vision of The Batman. Inspired heavily by fan favorite comics like The Long Halloween, Year One, and Zero Year, this story shows us Batman who has only been in existence for 2 years. With the help of Jim Gordon, and Catwoman, this Dark Knight tries to solve a series of murders being committed by a Serial Killer who calls himself The Riddler.
