This week we review the Jennifer Lopez star vehicle based on the life of Mexican-American pop icon Selena Quintanilla-Perez. This is a movie that is so prevalent in Latinx culture that it has colored much of how we view the late Tejano singer, and it a great snapshot for first and second generation Americans and how we try to maintain connection with our roots. Along with the review of this film, Angel gives some thoughts on the new Netflix series, and we dip into True Crime land by going over the details of Selena's murder.
